The Shepherd System™ is a full generation ahead of standard H2S systems, and the Shepherd Controller is the electronic hub of operations in the field. The onboard Windows Mobile PC monitors sensor activity 24/7 and transmits data, via satellite modem, WiFi or Ethernet connection, to the Shepherd Remote Monitoring System (RMS). Housed in an explosion proof enclosure, the Shepherd Controller can be mounted in multiple locations on a job site.
Wireless Dual Gas Detector
The Wireless H2S / LEL Detector is your zone-defense for any environment where H2S or explosive gases could endanger operations. Strategically position the H2S / LEL Detector throughout the work site to detect and report any dangerous situation before it becomes deadly. Features include wireless connectivity, battery power, explosion-proof housing, LED screen with status indicators. Like all Shepherd equipment, the H2S / LEL Detector can send and receive data, including calibration status, battery levels and gas concentrations.
Wireless H2S Gas Detector
The Wireless H2S Detector is designed to protect workers from Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas, the most dangerous hazardous gas encountered in the oil patch. This detector can be placed anywhere H2S might found. Features include wireless connectivity, battery power, explosion-proof housing, LED screen with status indicators. Like all Shepherd equipment, the H2S Detector can send and receive data, including calibration status, battery levels and gas concentrations.
The Shepherd Personal Monitor (PM) offers individualized protection for whole teams or lone workers. Each Shepherd PM is much more than a simple H2S gas detector with an audible alarm and vibration when gas is present. The compact Shepherd PM features 2-way wireless connectivity with the Shepherd Controller. If the Shepherd PM detects harmful levels of H2S, the device immediately sends a signal to the Shepherd Controller, which reports the gas concentration and GPS location to on- and off-site personnel who can coordinate an appropriate response. The integrated "Red Alert" button can be configured to acknowledge low-level gas exposure, conduct evacuation drills and request help from First Responders. Additional features include lock-out/tag-out functionality, remote calibration, and support for "lone worker" protocols.
The Shepherd Mobile Controller is a compact version of the Shepherd Controller, with all of the standard capabilities, including satellite connectivity, GPS tracking, data logging and support for multiple detectors. Once installed under the seat of a vehicle, the Shepherd Mobile Controller uses the vehicle's power supply to wirelessly monitor the driver's Shepherd Personal Monitor and relay real-time location and sensor data back to dispatch. With the Shepherd Mobile Controller onboard, field employees can rest assured that someone is watching their back.
Remote Monitoring System (RMS)
The Shepherd Remote Monitoring System (RMS) is the real power behind the Shepherd System. Our proprietary software, mobile app and automated notifications enable management, safety professionals and dispatchers to take proactive steps to prevent life threatening situations and respond quickly when they occur. With Google Maps embedded in every alert, First Responders can easily locate personnel who may be incapacitated. Our patented solution collects and sends real-time data from remote locations, creating a fully networked, worker-centric, wireless gas detection matrix. All data is stored on our secure Shepherd servers, which means decision makers can identify trends and correct problems that might otherwise go undetected.
Field Sentry – Stand-Alone Unit
The Field Sentry Stand-Alone unit was developed in response to customer requests for a rapidly deployable, self-sustaining, all-in-one system that can withstand the harsh environmental conditions in the oil field. The Field Sentry includes an integrated Shepherd Controller, sirens and lights, and it is powered by an extended life battery and solar panel. This unit contains all elements required to run the Shepherd System, mounted on a heavy duty steel frame. The Field Sentry is perfect for the unconventional situations we encounter in an unconventional industry.
Wireless Siren Stand
A gas detection system is only effective if it can alert all those potentially affected. Often times during operations, loud equipment combined with large locations can prevent workers from hearing alarms from conventional systems. The Shepherd Wireless Siren Stand lets you position sirens closer to workers without running wires or finding a power source. With an integrated solar panel and extended life battery, safety professionals will have the utmost confidence that every worker will be alerted when an alarm is triggered.
